SINIKITHEMBA CHOIR PERFORMS AT EMBASSY

Sinikithemba Choir is an HIV/AIDS support program based at McCord Hospital in Durban, South Africa.  The choir performed in New York City for World AIDS Day on 1 December 2002 and will be traveling to several cities in the United States to raise HIV/AIDS awareness.  Luckily enough they found some time to stop by the Embassy while in Washington to perform for the staff and to enjoy a light lunch reception.  Their performance was both powerful and inspirational and included a repertoire of traditional South African and gospel music.
